Fire collars
With partitioning, you divide a building into fire sections, with the aim of limiting a possible fire to the affected section. This specific construction technique allows you to stop fire for a certain period and the affected section is separated from the rest of the building. It is essential that every opening or penetration in walls, floors and ceilings is sufficiently secured to achieve a good partitioning.
Fire collars are an important element for the partitioning of buildings. Fire collars are made from swelling materials, in a steel housing.
The fire collars are installed around thermoplastic pipes. In case of fire, the combustion of flammable pipes (thermoplastic pipes) creates openings in the walls.
The material in fire collars can swell very quickly when exposed to heat, so as to pinch the melting plastic tube on the inside and completely close the opening with the fire retardant material it contains.
Fire collars exist in dimensions from 32 to 355 mm. Fire collars are light, compact and easy to install.
You can use fire collars in all buildings where partitioning is required, such as hospitals, schools, apartment buildings, offices, etc.
